Nine days that go further—past the familiar frames and into the parts of Ladakh most people drive through without stopping. Turtuk’s Balti village, Hanle’s midnight sky and Tso Moriri’s remote quiet are the heart of this journey.

Day 01Arrive Leh — Take It Easy

Rest, hydrate and let the altitude set the rhythm. A market walk or Shanti Stupa sunset is optional.

Day 02Leh’s Old Town and Monasteries

Explore Leh Palace, Thiksey and Hemis before a slow evening back in town.

Day 03Khardung La and the Road to Nubra

Cross the high pass, descend into the cold desert and meet Nubra’s Bactrian camels at sunset.

Day 04Turtuk — The Last Village Before the Border

Walk through apricot orchards and stone lanes, meet local people and share the pace of a distinct Balti village.

Day 05The Shyok Road to Pangong

Take the quieter river route through a landscape that keeps changing, arriving at Pangong in the evening light.

Day 06Pangong at Dawn — Then Deeper In

Begin beside the still lake, then travel across Changthang toward remote Hanle.

Day 07Hanle — Under India’s Darkest Sky

Visit the monastery, walk the village and spend time with your hosts before the Milky Way fills the night.

Day 08Hanle to Tso Moriri

Cross the plateau to the high-altitude lake and the village of Korzok, arriving with time to let the quiet settle in.

Day 09Tso Moriri to Leh

A final morning by the lake followed by the long return through Mahe Bridge and the Indus Valley.

Pricing is confirmed on enquiry after your departure style and current ground costs are reviewed. The complete booking terms are shared before any payment is requested.

  • A 25% deposit confirms a small-group journey; private and custom journeys require 30%.
  • The remaining balance is due 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30 days are payable in full.
  • Cancellation charges depend on the notice given and are shared clearly before payment.
  • Routes may change because of weather, permits or road conditions, with safety and the quality of the journey taking priority.
  • Travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies and evacuation is strongly recommended.
